Salazar Resources has initiated a nursery for the production and recovery of native species, fruits, ornamental and medicinal plants in cooperation with local communities, regional government and universities. The nursery includes training on propagation and plant care, and provides local communities, businesses and Salazar Resources itself with seedlings and rootstock for reforestation and rehabilitation.  The nursery generates almost 100,000 plants a year, and has been operating since 2007.
